Built on Experience,
Grounded in Purpose
Brent Antman grew up around construction. While studying at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, he worked alongside carpenters, learning that beautiful designs only matter if they can actually be built.
That hands-on foundation shaped everything. After graduating with his B.S. in Interior Design, Brent spent years in the field, building alongside lead carpenters on projects ranging from basement renovations to custom homes from the ground up. He learned how things go together, where problems hide, and why good communication between designer and builder is the difference between a project that works and one that stalls.
His true passion landed in kitchen and bath design, where he went to work for a custom cabinet manufacturer before eventually spending five years in the flooring industry. With the full support of his family, Brent took the leap in January 2015 and opened Designs By Mitchel.
Today, the business operates from a one-of-a-kind showroom at 902 Matsonford Road in Conshohocken, where clients can touch, compare, and experience materials in person. From custom cabinets to porcelain tile to hardwood floors, everything needed to complete a project is in one place.
